F. CARDOZO all set to stage Konkani Tiatr “Padr Agnel”

After staging two dramas in the past 8 years which had the audience amazed at the storyline, direction and concept which were enacted 110 times of his much acclaimed Konkani tiatr “Fr. Savio”, followed by 96 shows of “Mother Theresa”, F. Cardozo now present the true life story under F. Cardozo Production banner titled “Padr Agnel”.

The show will premiere on 8th February 2008 at Nagoa in South Goa and stars the versatile Konkani stage artistes and singers: Jessie Dias, Roshan, Peter de Benaulim, Joaquim, Jr. Rod, Francis de Tuem, Anil Kumar, Lawry Travasso, Osvi Viegas, Mini Mario, Comedian Sally, Selvy, Peter D’Costa, Bab Franky, Bab Joliber, Antonio Jose (Jr. Lemos), Milton, Benny J. Rebello, Ives Tavares, Jack de Colva, Sidnath Buyao and F. Cardozo.

With amazingly created spiritual scenes and powerful songs – solos, duets, trios and quartez, and comedy that will you to the peak of mount Everest. Says the director, “I was totally inspired by the Godly life of Padr Agnel, the obedient son of his parents and the pious priest who led by example and above all a totally committed soldier of God. It is this inspiration that led me to narrate Padr Agnel’s life in the form a Konkani tiatr”. Furthermore he continues, “My aim is purely to make fellow Goans aware that we need to ask God to elevate this great son of God to the Heights of the Roman Catholic Church Altar, which would then inspire more Goans to follow in the footsteps of “Padr Agnel”.

This drama will also be staged on 11th February at the G.V.N. Hall, Margao at 3:30 p.m., on 13th February at the Kala Academy Open Air (Black Box), Panjim at 7:00 p.m., and 17th February at the Hanuman Theatre, Mapusa at 10:30 a.m. The director requests all Not to Miss The Opening Chorus.
